Weekly Newsletter - Friday 4th October 2019
A reminder that the Harvest Festival Service is postponed due to the works in the church. This has been rearranged for Thursday 24th October at 9.15 am
On Monday, the books for the book fair will be delivered into school. Children will be able to choose a book and will bring a slip home with their choice. If you would like to choose a book with your child, the times available are; Thursday 10th October at pick up or Friday 11th October on arrival at school.
Parents Evening: Tuesday 22nd October and Wednesday 6th November
Bookings will again be online; however, this year will be through the SCHOOL SPIDER website/app. Please can we encourage anyone who is not using the parent login on the website or activated the app to do so as soon as possible, so you can book your appointment. The appointments will be available to book from 7pm on Friday 4th October.
School Spider – Website & Communications system
A reminder that all communications are now sent via school spider. You can access the parent login section via computer, IPad or by downloading the app onto your mobile phone. As well as email communications, the parent login gives you direct access to all school information as well as the calendar of events (class specific and whole school) and the latest news.
If your child has been selected for an after school sporting event, or wishes to attend an after school club, all details will now show up via your parent login. These will be in form/survey section, with the letter detailing the arrangements attached, so you can accept or decline a place in the club/activity online, and answer any other questions detailed. This will end the need for you to return a slip of paper as consent.
Please ensure you allow notifications so you area alerted to new messages and activities relating to your child/children. If you have any issues, please contact the office.
The FLPS AGM will be held on Wednesday 9 October. This year we have decided to keep it informal. It will be held at 2pm in the school hall. If you are able to attend please come along and find out more about, what FLPS does and how you can help support events. If you are interested in joining the committee, please speak to Hannah Burgoyne.
The Spooky Discos will take place on Monday 21 October after school. Tickets are now available on ParentPay. The KS1 disco will be straight after school until 5pm. The KS2 disco will be 5.30pm-7pm. Tickets are £5 each and include a hotdog, krispie cake and a drink. If you are able to help at either disco or make some krispie cakes please let Hannah Burgoyne know.
Thank you to everyone who has sent in the Christmas Card order forms. The children’s designs are all wonderful. They will all be sent off next week and the cards and gifts should be with us by the end of November.
FLPS will be serving tea and coffee after the Harvest Service on 24 October. If you are able to help with this please let Hannah Burgoyne know.
