Year 1 – Curriculum (Teacher – Miss Williamson)

A very warm welcome to Year 1!

My name is Miss Williamson and I am new to Lower Peover. I am really looking forward to continuing my teaching career here at your lovely school. I have already had the pleasure in meeting you all during the transition days and I was extremely impressed with how hard working and well behaved you all are.

In addition to Mrs Lawrence and myself teaching you, we will also be joined by Coach Dave each Monday afternoon and Mr Stannard each Wednesday afternoon.

We have lots of interesting topics for you this academic year. These include; ‘You’ve Got a Friend in Me’, ‘A Journey Around the World’ and ‘The Victorians’. During the topic ‘The Victorians’ we have an exciting trip planned for you to ‘Quarry Bank Mill’ where you will experience what it was really like to be a Victorian.

Each topic will be closely linked with all of the National Curriculum subjects including; Reading, Writing, Maths, Science, Geography, History, Art and DT.

Mrs Lawrence and myself cannot wait to see you all again in September ready for your next adventure. We are going to have lots of fun!
