Our Menus
EDSENTIAL CATERING
Our catering service is provided by Edsential . School lunches will be payable via ParentPay. Please ensure your account is in credit.
You will still be able to pre-order your child's lunch from home if you wish, there is however an option for the children to order in school each morning. Please be aware, if you order your child's meal at home, school will be unable to override your selection. You are able to pre-order 3 weeks in advance if there are sufficient funds in your ParentPay account. Please note: you are unable to pre-order lunches at home on the day itself.
Food Allergies/Intolerances
If your child has any food intolerances or allergies, a medical note from your doctor/consultant is required in school. This information will then be provided to Edsential, who will ensure the details are allocated against your child. This will then remove the option to select specific meal choices containing those ingredients. We work closely with Edsential Catering to ensure we comply with Natasha's Law, which came into force on 1st October 2021.
Special Menus
Special Theme Day Menus are created to celebrate particular occasions, such as World Book Day, Christmas and International Days. Children can choose to have a Special Theme Dinner, even if they do not usually have school dinners. Separate communications will be sent out prior to any event.
Cost
The cost per day for school lunches is 2.93, which must be paid in advance on ParentPay.
Packed Lunches
If your child does not want to participate in school lunches, they will be accommodated in the school hall to eat their packed lunch with the other children. Please send your child in with a named lunch box containing healthy food and drink. Please do not include sweets or fizzy drinks - juice is permitted in packed lunches only.
No hot food or soup is permitted in your child's packed lunch for health & safety purposes.
Snacks
Please send your child with a small healthy snack, as break time is not too long before lunch time. As a treat, on a Friday morning only, children are permitted to bring a small bar of chocolate/chocolate biscuit or a small bag of crisps. No sweets or fizzy drinks are allowed.
Reception children will be given fruit from school during the morning session.
Water Bottles
All children should have a named water bottle with them in school, that is accessed throughout the day. The contents of the water bottle should be water only. No juice is permitted.
