Our School Day

2023-24 Academic Year

Doors open at 8.20am and close at 8.50am. Staff members are outside to assist the children out of the cars.

The children are to be dropped off by car in the loop at the entrance to the school.  We operate a "drop off only" system. Please use the layby within the front loop should you need to pull over. Please could we request you do not get out of the car on the loop itself, so we can keep the traffic flowing.

Please make sure your child arrives at school on time. It is very important that good habits are formed early. Being punctual is very important and helps the day get off to a good start

Morning Registration & Lunch Ordering - 8.50am

Morning Session 8.50am-12.00pm (EYFS & KS1) 8.50am - 12.20pm (KS2)

Year 1-6 inclusive pupils have a morning break at 10.40am to 11.00am. 

EYFS children have continuous provision.

Afternoon Registration - 1pm (EYFS and Years 1 & 2), 1.15pm (Years 3, 4, 5 & 6)

Afternoon Session 1.00pm-3.20pm (EYFS & KS1) 1.15pm - 3.20pm (KS2)

Key Stage 1 children have an afternoon break of fifteen minutes.

End of Day

3.20pm - Bus children depart

3.20pm-3.30pm - All children except KS2 non-siblings - via playground classroom doors 

3.30pm-3.40pm - Years 3, 4, 5 & 6 non-siblings - via front loop only

If someone else is to pick up your child please let the office know on [email protected] or 01625 467 623, and ensure they are aware of the collection procedures.

Do please try to be punctual, as children can get very upset if they feel left behind.

Total time in school across a typical week is a standard 32.5 hour week for all children

School Office Hours are: 8.00am to 4.00pm
