Mini Police
Northwich Police Mini Police Scheme for Primary Schools
The Northwich Police Mini Police scheme is a community engagement initiative aimed a primary school children, aged 8-11 years old.
It provides an educational and fun way for children to associate positively with policing from an early age, and encourages them to get involved in their local community.
The scheme is delivered in partnership with local Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) and involves various activities such as first aid training, road safety, littering, and vandalism prevention.
The initiative is designed to build confidence, learn new skills, and develop a sense of social justice and moral responsibility.
It also links in with the statutory Key Stage 2 requirements of Personal, Social, Health, and Economic (PSHE) education.

Fitness...the bleep test!
February 2026
The first task for our mini police officers has been to create their own ID badges. These will then be proudly worn, along with their uniform, when they go out and about in the community.
This was then followed, just before the February half term break, with their first fitness test...the dreaded bleep test! Well done to everyone! This test will periodically be re-taken, to see if the children can improve on the levels reached on their first attempt!
PCSO Phil will be back in school on 3rd March to get the first project underway
